#Guitarra ibanez prestige rg2550z upgrade
However the EVO and the SD cost just about $ 100 or lessor on Guitar Cenre and is a custom upgrade so much for us 'TONE GUYS' - AS most guitar players wont bother to change pickups its a few of us TONE HEADS who will eventualy do it. Instrumentos musicais » Guitarras e Baixos 1.050 Negociável. For the cost difference between a JEM and the RG prestige, the PUP upgrade actually is negligible, but not giving that upgrade proves a good strategy for IBANEZ to sell a few more Signature models. If you were getting a Evolution in the bridge and neck like the JEM77VH at the price of a RG2550Z I would not consider looking at the JEM even if it some thing that I desire. An Ibanez technician once told me that the reason why they dont put high end PUPs in Prestige models other than the signature is to safe guard the sale of the signature models. I would like Ibanex to rework the pick up strategy and put better Dimarzio's in them. I must have read this page on RG2550Z over a hundred times to get the confidence of buying this axe and to buy two was a big deal for me. Sustain is good and you could not cribb more for a bolted neck guitar, my PRS Custom SE sustains more with worse pickups than the Ibanez. I plan to replace the pickup shortly, the Galaxy white will be replaced with Evolutions in the bridge and neck, while I will be getting a Super Distortion or a Tone Zone in the neck of the Galaxy Black.

IN the bridge position the pickup sounds pretty good and gives good rich harmonics, I did some how manage to get away with the low frequency issue on the neck pickup by using a prametric EQ on my overdrive and distortion pedals this messes up the bridge pickup sound. I would have expected more clarity of notes played on the 4th, 5th, 6th string of the guitar. The trick is to replace and retune one string at a time. The Gibraltar is a Tune-O-Matic style bridge. However for Metal I was a bit disappointed with the frequency response of the neck pick up, the pickups are Dimarzio customs made for Ibanez, however the pickup has good mids and higs but lacks a clear BASS response - Adjusting the pole piece you can increse the base, but the note get drowned in each other. The Ibanez has a very flat neck and is riduculously easy to play. Can say it has has a Jazz tone what so ever, but on any of the single coils you can back of the tone a bit and get a smooth tone to play Jazz or by defaul tthe neck pickup is a bit muddy in my opinion and suited for playing jazz. Really diverse and as a music techer I have to adopt to various styles. I play mostly classic rock and metal, with a tinge of JAZZ ocassionally.
